We introduced Better Rates on April 29, 2025 to help you set more realistic growth expectations for your plan.

Instead of relying only on optimistic and pessimistic assumptions, you can now choose smarter defaults—like Aggressive, Moderate, or Conservative investment profiles—based on historical data.

Learn more about our Better Rates feature enhancement in this video from Boldin Product Manager Patrick Hammons.

Here's what you need to know about Better Rates

More grounded, practical planning assumptions
Smarter defaults for investments, income, and growth
Optimistic/pessimistic options still available for now

Want to use Better Rates?

You’ll need to manually update your growth settings to switch to the new defaults.
(We haven’t changed any of your current plan settings.)

Over the next few weeks, we'll begin retiring the optimistic/pessimistic rate structure to make your planning experience simpler and more accurate.
