Document Vault: secure storage for your financial documents and AI plan updates

Document Vault is a secure, private home for your important financial and legal documents inside Boldin. Keep your statements, tax returns, insurance policies, and estate documents in one organized place — encrypted, findable, and stored for life.

Some of these documents you’ll never “apply” to a plan — a will or a beneficiary designation just needs to be safe and easy to find. Vault is where they live.

Who it’s for

Bank‑level secure, stored for as long as you’re a member. Encrypted in transit and at rest with AES‑256. Boldin does not share your documents with third parties.

What you can do in Document Vault

  • Store documents securely — upload financial and legal files and keep them encrypted in one place.

  • Organize by type — investments, taxes, insurance, benefits, estate, and more.

  • Keep estate documents safe — wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and beneficiary designations, with control over who can access them.

  • Find what’s inside without digging — ask Boldin AI a question about a stored document and get an answer from its actual content.

  • Access anytime — your documents are available from your Boldin account whenever you need them.

Supported file formats

You can upload files up to 25 MB each in these formats:

  • PDF (.pdf)

  • Word (.docx)

  • Plain text (.txt)

  • CSV (.csv)

  • JSON (.json)

  • Images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, .webp)

Older Word files (.doc), videos, and other formats aren’t supported. If a document is in an unsupported format, saving or exporting it as a PDF is the easiest fix — though any of the supported formats above will work.

Uploading a statement here can also update your plan. To turn a document into confirmed plan data, see “Keep your plan current.”

How to store a document

  1. Open Document Vault. Go to My Plan → Document Vault. Your library opens — empty at first, ready to fill.

  2. Add a file. Select Add file and choose a document from your device in any supported format (see above). Your file is encrypted the moment it’s uploaded.

  3. It’s stored and organized. Your document appears in your Vault, grouped by type, ready whenever you need it.

  4. Find or ask about it anytime. Open a document to view it, or ask Boldin AI a question about what’s inside.

How to update your plan with a document

  1. Open Document Vault. Go to My Plan → Document Vault and select Add file. Vault accepts PDFs; your file is encrypted the moment it’s uploaded.

  2. Boldin reads your document. It identifies the key figures — balances, income, contributions. This usually takes under a minute.

  3. Review and confirm. Boldin shows a summary of what it found. If any value looks off, edit it right there. Nothing is applied until you confirm.

  4. Apply to your plan. Once confirmed, the values flow into the matching sections of My Plan. The document stays in your Vault as the record behind those numbers.

Security and privacy

  • Bank‑level encryption — your documents are encrypted in transit and at rest with AES‑256. Bank‑level secure, stored for life.

  • Private by default — only you can see your files. You choose if and when to share access with a spouse, a trusted contact, or a Boldin Advisor.

  • No third‑party sharing — Boldin does not share your uploaded documents with outside third parties.
