Our Planner calculations run on a monthly basis, so with the Detailed Budgeter, all Frequencies (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually) are broken down to monthly values and paid as a monthly amount according to their Start and End dates.

When selecting Monthly: $1,000/monthly = $1,000/mo paid through the start and end date

Example:

If you would like to model buying a new vehicle as a $50,000 expense for one month, you would enter the following:

  • Frequency: Monthly

  • Amount: $50,000

  • Time range: Start Dec 2024 / Stop Dec 2024

    • The key for a one month expense is to start and end in the same month

When selecting Quarterly: $900/quarterly = $300/mo paid through the start and end date

Example:

If you would like to model a $300 per month in gas costs you would enter the following:

  • Frequency: Quarterly

  • Amount: $900

  • Time range: Start Jan 2025 / Stop Mar 2025

When selecting Annually: $50,000/annually = $4,167/mo paid through the start and end date

Example:

If you would like to model buying a new vehicle as a $50,000 expense over the year, you would enter the following:

  • Frequency: Annually

  • Amount: $50,000

  • Time range: Start Jan 2025 / Stop Dec 2025

    • Reminder: $50,000 Annual frequency only entered for a one month date range will only be paid as $4,167 for that year!
