Our Account linking service, Meld, uses three different providers: Plaid, MX, and Finicity. Based on the Financial Institution you choose, Meld will present you with the provider that is best for that institution. There are times when one provider will be presented as the first choice, and you are unable to connect your institution or your balances are not updating when connected via that provider.

In this case you have the ability to delete the connection and bypass the providers in favor of another providers.

Please see this video for a demonstration.

Or, continue below to review the steps which will allow you to link an account with a different provider within Meld:

Within the Boldin planner, navigate to "Connections."

"Remove connection" on the account that is not updating.

Select the financial institution you'd like to connect with. Meld will auto-suggest a provider (Plaid, MX, or Finicity) for you based on this selection.

To select a different provider, click on the X in the top right of the initial provider screen.

After exiting the provider screen, you will see a pop-up prompting you to choose one of two actions: Option 1: Try again with a different provider. Option 2: Try a different bank.

Selecting Option 1 will enter you into the next available provider's login flow, as determined by Meld.

(Note: If no other provider is available, selecting Option 1 may return you to the "Select your institution" screen.)

This flow can be repeated one more time if you prefer not to use the second provider and the institution is available from the third provider.

Once you have connected the institution, be sure that you also connect the individual accounts you want linked.

The video below will demonstrate the linking process. You should see a link icon πŸ”— Vs a dotted circle when this is completed.

Please allow 3-5 business days for balances to update once re-synced.
